28 Sep McGill hosts a workshop by Aaron Shahi on Understanding Music
“How should we listen to music”?
It takes knowledge to know what and how to really listen to a melody that is being taught in this very workshop by Aaron Shahi.
In this two-day workshop, he tries to explain how to listen better and which areas of music should be focused on and generally speaking he covers basic music theory, rhythm, theme, variations, form, and orchestration.
Aaron later explained this was his very first official workshop in Montreal and he didn’t expect this much of appreciation and attendance in public. He tries to cover a wide range of subjects and to teach advanced music in a very easy language. As he later says “I’m so delighted with the eagerness of all these people and this attendance is beyond my expectations. This should have started somewhere!”
